Currently, an estimated 20-30 percent of waste from construction projects are recycled or reused. Included in this mess of concrete, wood, and other debris are metal items such as drain pipes.
This wine rack is constructed of a 10 inch drain pipe obtained from a construction project that was never completed, leaving tons of random building items without a place to go. Cut and attached to a sturdy reclaimed wood support beam from a house built in the 1800s, three wine bottles can now happily nest in the cradle of an old, reinvented drain pipe.
